To help you answer these questions, we undertook a monumental project that
evolved into these guides:
32,000 pages written about the top 200 colleges
Each guidebook provides a comprehensive, honest, in-depth portrayal that is
dedicated to one school. Every college is a unique experience and therefore each
college has an entire book dedicated to it. The creation of 200 individual
guidebooks was intentional because we wanted to make sure that you were never
being forced to buy something (information on a college that is not relevant to
your search) that you didn't want or need.
55,000 students share their opinions
To maintain objectivity, we have refused investment from colleges. Instead, we
let the students tell it like it is and fill each guide with over 300 of their
quotes, both positive and negative.
Students rank 200 colleges in 200 guides
Our rankings represent student happiness, prominence, and satisfaction for each
respective category. The higher the grade, the happier, the more prominent, or
the more satisfied students are with the particular category. The ranking
process is in the hands of current students and recent graduates the entire
time.
